About This Game

Verdantis begins in the soil

Verdantis is a puzzle-adventure game, set in a ruined, overgrown research facility. Once a cutting-edge complex for alternative energy experiments. Today vines, and rust reclaim the laboratories, and reactors.

You play as R-0B, a small quadruped assistant robot. Your task: restore power across the entire complex, zone by zone, puzzle by puzzle. The story unfolds through exploration, researchers' journal entries, and traces of disaster in the environment.

Mechanics

  • Block pushing – push blocks and plan your movement through tight, logical spaces

  • Switches and activators – open doors, route power, and trigger devices, no time pressure

  • Electric charges – take on a positive or negative charge and manipulate plants

  • Floating plants – cross flooded labs where vegetation responds to energy

  • Light reflection – guide beams through light-reflecting plants to trigger reactions in other plants and create platforms

  • And more

The world is split into eight connected zones: from industrial ruins to dense vegetation at the heart of the facility. You can explore the facility in any order.

The game offers about 2 hours of play time. Progress saves automatically.

Visual style

Verdantis stands out with a distinctive look: cel-shading with bold outlines, comic-book readability, and post-apocalyptic technology overtaken by nature. Rusted machines, dense overgrowth, and gradually returning light create the mood of an abandoned lab slowly coming back to life.

Who is it for?

For players who want a calm adventure built on logic and exploration with a readable world, consistent puzzles, and a strong, original visual identity.
