About This Game

The house always wins.... HOWEVER, nobody told these grannies that.

Five grandmothers wander into a casino built on bad bargains and refuse to leave empty-handed. The patrons are dead, the staff have heard every excuse, and the Devil is waiting downstairs.

Tunica Terror is a turn-based roguelite where gambling games become combat systems. Build your hand, roll your dice, scratch your ticket, or spin the wheel. Then spend what you get on a custom kit of attacks, defenses, and dirty tricks. Luck gives you something to work with. What happens next is your responsibility.

Five grandmothers. Five ways to beat the house.

Push your blackjack hand with Carol

chase matching dice with Debora,

hold and spin Gloria's slot reels,

uncover Winnie's scratch-off grid,

.....or place your roulette bets with Trish. Each granny changes how you build a turn, what you risk, and which cards belong in your kit!

Take the long way down. Or get out while you're ahead.

Explore branching floor maps and backtrack through cleared rooms. Fight for another reward, visit the shop, investigate a strange encounter, or head for the stairs with whatever health you have left. The next floor will not care how expensive your last decision was.

Turn a good card into the reason your build works.

Sharpen individual kit cards and choose upgrades that suit your run. Strengthen a dependable attack or invest in a card that brings your whole strategy together. Purse space is limited, so every addition means deciding what deserves to stay.

Accessorize irresponsibly.

Equip Lucky Charms for passive effects that work alongside your cards. Collect one-use sundries for emergencies, opportunities, and situations you insist are still under control.

Make the damage calculation worth watching.

Bring upgraded cards, charm effects, status bonuses, and multipliers together in one oversized hit. A carefully prepared turn can turn a modest handful of tokens into a very expensive problem for the house.

The patrons have plenty to say about your winning streak.

Face casino regulars, exhausted staff, and management with a personal interest in your soul. Reactive battle dialogue gives the house a dry, disagreeable personality, right up to the Devil himself.

There is more to do here than lose money at a table.

Break up the descent with fishing and other side games. Take a detour, chase a reward, and bring something useful back to your next fight.

Read the offer. Consider the consequences. Touch it anyway.

Strange encounters interrupt your route with tempting deals and questionable opportunities. Decide what you can afford to risk before finding out what the casino considers a fair exchange.
