About This Game

In TRELLIS, shine the Spotlight to guide Fig the robot caretaker, solve dozens of unique puzzle rooms, and uncover the mysteries of the Trellis, an ancient alien temple long forgotten… but not abandoned.

TRELLIS is a new take on the puzzle adventure game, where players use light to control the main character and learn the rules of the world. The Spotlight is how you solve puzzles, reveal secrets, and interact with every element of the game.

Light Modes
The Spotlight has multiple modes, and each of the Trellis’ chambers contains elements that will react to those modes differently. The blacklight can reveal puzzle clues and lore, but some creatures are attracted to it, or repelled by it. Focus mode can burn away obstacles or scare away predators, but careful not to accidentally reignite a long dormant caretaker system.

A Forgotten Place
The Trellis is a long forgotten megastructure... but that doesn’t mean it’s uninhabited. Each level of TRELLIS is completed only if you can use the Spotlight to find the solution can keep Fig and their beloved plant alive.

An Unlikely Hero
Fig is a robot with a simple job; keep the plant in the light. Fig is the key to uncovering the occluded past and potential future of the Trellis. As you guide Fig through the Trellis, environmental storytelling will reveal the game’s narrative, rooted in deep time, robotic religions, and the conflict between the biological and the artificial.
