About This Game

Doomsday Valley is a comedy point 'n click mystery game with hand-drawn animations and object-based puzzles. It has a hand-drawn, stylized look that mixes quirky humor with a slightly eerie undertone.  Inspired by classic 2D point 'n click games, the visuals are packed with expressive characters and interesting locations. The Mystery of Doomsday Valley will drag you into a world full of mystery, oddball moments, and a touch of the supernatural.

You are Maya Harper: a young journalist always on the lookout for 'THE BIG SCOOP'. Rumors of Alien Abductions and Monsters in the Forest has drawn her to Doomsday Valley - rumors she is 100 % ready to believe if there is just a hint of evidence. But what seemed like a beautiful valley full of quirky people soon turns out to be a real mystery - but not necessarily the mystery she was expecting.

The Demo

The demo showcases what we want to achieve with Doomsday Valley, but it should be viewed as a work in progress. This will give you a first impression about how the game will play.

  • Professor Nebulius. Professor in astrophysics and advanced mathematics. He is already investigating the valley and this might or might not upset the sinister forces at work... (hint: it does, it angers the spirits greatly)

  • Mortimer Darkwood. Manager of the Doomsday Hotel. He has no real interest in running a hotel and it shows. This is a fallback job for him after some misfortunes and he is working some angles to get away from the hotel.

  • Rosie. Owner of Rosie's Diner. She knows the ins and outs of the town and the people living here and is never too busy. Her recipes stem from a long tradition of local cuisine, as her family has been living in the area literally forever.

  • Theodore Penwright. Journalist working at The Times. Always on the lookout for the next big article. He is semi-famous in his field and makes sure people he meets recognise that in every way possible.

  • Cletus. He is a local farmer who recently had some nasty experiences that led him into a depression. Self-medicates with moonshine and excessive eating but also enjoys long walks with his dog.

  • Dave. He claims he got sick by accidental exposure to some unknown substance and is now hiding out in his camper van. He used to install smart tech solutions, like surveillance cameras and security systems, but is now running a telephone-based food-related startup.
