About This Game

The Anomaly Detective is a first-person detective game woven with psychological thriller elements that will make you question your perception of reality. You are called to the scene as a detective, but this is no ordinary crime scene. Stress, fatigue, or perhaps this hotel itself is clouding your mind.

HALLUCINATION OR EVIDENCE?

As you walk down the hallway, you will encounter bizarre anomalies, shape-shifting objects, and disturbing visions. Do not panic.

  • Close Your Eyes: When you feel something is wrong, close your eyes (B Key). Wait a few seconds in the dark, take a breath, and rest your mind.

  • See the Truth: The things that disappeared when you opened your eyes were just your mind playing tricks on you. But if there are objects that are still there or have changed despite opening your eyes... Those are your real evidence, and they need to be photographed!

MAINTAIN YOUR SANITY

Under this much pressure, your mind will get exhausted. Light a cigarette to restore your dropping sanity, regain focus, and get rid of the hallucinations. Just like the old-school detectives...

NEITHER JUST ANOMALY NOR CLASSIC DETECTIVE

The game blends anomaly-finding mechanics with deduction-based detective elements perfectly in half:

  • Start the day by reading briefings from your colleague, Cole.

  • No face-to-face conversations with suspects. Spy on rooms through half-open doors and witness their lives from afar.

  • Piece together the evidence you've gathered on your detective board and make your own deductions.

WHO WILL YOU BLAME? (6 SUSPECTS, 1 DECISION)

The Anomaly Detective never serves you the truth on a silver platter; it only provides the evidence. The clues you gather will lead you to one of the 6 different suspects. Depending on how you interpret the data on your board, who you choose is entirely up to you. Trust your observation skills and make your decision.

A NOTE FROM THE DEVELOPER

Hello! I am a solo indie developer who created this game single-handedly. It is very important to me to manage your expectations correctly before you buy the game:

  • How Should You Play?: There are nearly 30 anomalies waiting to be discovered in the game. There are different ending dialogues that change based on the choices you make. However, for a complete experience, I recommend finishing the game in one sitting, and to see the other endings, play it again with some time in between.

  • Future Plans: Right after the release, my priority will be to fix critical bugs (if any are found). Then, I plan to enrich the content pool by adding new anomalies to the game with small patches.

Thank you for your support and for stepping into this uncanny hotel!
