About This Game

SURVIVE THE SWARM. BREAK THE SYSTEM. You are a single cursor inside a dying operating system. Swarm after swarm of corrupted processes floods the arena to delete you. You have one job: survive long enough to reboot the machine, or find out what's really running underneath. SYSTEM_REBOOT is a fast, dense bullet-heaven roguelite with a hacker's soul.

▚ EVERY LEVEL-UP IS AN EXPLOIT Build your run from 100+ upgrades: Basic and Advanced modules, weapon modules, abilities and Devil cards. They read like code. chmod +x DAMAGE. sudo crit_hit. inject.malware. Stack them, evolve your weapons into monstrous new forms, and sign cursed pacts that turn a fragile cursor into a system-breaking anomaly.

▚ YOUR CHAT PLAYS WITH YOU Native Twitch integration in one step: type your channel name and connect. No login, no bot account, no plugin. Your viewers vote on your upgrades in real time, their names spawn on enemies and in the kill-feed, and the Kernel Reaper judges you both. Streaming SYSTEM_REBOOT turns your chat into part of the run: they advise, you decide.

▚ MORE PROTOCOLS ARE COMING The machine is still growing. Six protocols that transform the run (a growing serpent, a rolling ball of debris, a time-bender the world obeys, a tower-defense architect, a missile-defense operator and a turn-based creature battle) are in development as future expansions. They are not part of the base game yet. Until they arrive, the system already fights back: Kernel Events like the Blue Screen of Death and ransomware crash into your run, the Kernel Reaper offers dangerous bargains, and THREAT lets you arm the final boss with up to 16 optional conditions.

▚ SOMETHING INSIDE IS AWAKE Beat a boss untouched and the machine opens a room that shouldn't exist. Go deeper and the swarm stops. The screen changes. And for a while, SYSTEM_REBOOT stops being a bullet heaven at all. No spoilers. You'll know it when it happens.

▚ FIGHT THE MACHINE 8 main bosses with real HP phases, including one that attacks on the beat of its own soundtrack. Three secret bosses hide behind rare rifts, and one more should not be there at all. A final boss that knows how many times you have died. And your dead runs come back as zombie echoes hunting the arena.
