The Story of Skybound

Bell wasn't exactly what Professor A. N. Curia - who studies anicent human civilization - expected to receive. Shipped to the Professor  archaeologist as "Human Remains", the package contained something far more alive: a baby. Turns out, raising a human is excellent for research (and admittedly, pretty adorable).

Growing up, Bell took to her mentor/parent's work in a big way. She spent countless nights under the blanket reading about lost civilizations, and even more time tagging along on excavation trips. Eager as ever, she learned fast by studying artifacts, documenting ruins and decoding ancient texts. By seventeen, she'd shaped into a fine archaeologist in her own right.

Now she's got her very first solo job! The client came through Professor A. N. Curia, so they must be reputable. The mission is straightforward: retrieve an artifact from the ancient and mysterious sky islands and prove she's a real archaeologist. This is the beginning of something great!

But as Bell explores the floating ruins, something feels... off. Questions keep surfacing that don't quite add up. What exactly does the client want with this artifact? And why all the secrecy?

Please note: This is a student demo

Skybound is a demo created over 6 weeks by a multidisciplinary team of students from many different universities together for a semester at DADIU (Danish Academy of Digital, Interactive Entertainment). This project brought together aspiring developers, artists, designers and composers, all of whom have never worked on a game of this scale before, and with this tight of a schedule.

While we're incredibly proud of what we've accomplished in such a short timeframe, you may encounter bugs or rough edges along the way. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy exploring the sky islands with Bell despite any hiccups!

Thank you for playing our game!
