About This Game

Cut under the rock and bring it down. Rockburst is an incremental mining game where unsupported slabs fall and smash the rock below.

Pick your cut

Hover over rock and your pick swings on its own. Aim for the support holding a slab in place, or break a uranium tile to set off a chain of blasts. Keep digging until your lamp runs out of fuel.

Spend the haul

Ore turns into coins. Spend them on nodes in one big upgrade tree, then go deeper next run.
  • Swing faster and widen your pick.
  • Carry more lamp fuel.
  • Make falling rock hit harder and blasts reach farther.
  • Unlock lifts to start deeper in the mine.

Dig to the bottom

Work around Granite's bedrock studs and through Obsidian's glass seams. Find oil pockets to keep the lamp burning. Watch for lava cracks in the Magma Seam.

Reach The Deep and break the Heart at the bottom. Expect about 3 hours to the ending.

Play with a mouse or controller, from the first swing to the upgrade tree.

Rockburst takes its name from a real mining hazard: stressed rock bursting from a deep mine wall.
