About This Game
PETAFAB: Bot Invasion is a fast-paced single-player first-person shooter with fully destructible SDF environments and large-scale crowd simulation. Blast through massive swarms of AI-controlled bots and take down huge bosses.
Story
PETAFAB is the world’s largest robot-building facility. Builder bots have been expanding it for decades, and it now covers an area the size of a major city. Recently, we lost contact with the AI running the facility. Our worst fears have come true.
Special forces have recruited three heroes to infiltrate the facility and blow it to pieces. You are authorized to destroy as many bots as possible along the way. Collateral damage is just a bonus.
Team
Sebastian Aaltonen has 30 years of professional game development experience. During his career at Frozenbyte, RedLynx, Ubisoft, and Unity, he has developed multiple award-winning games for PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo consoles. He has spoken at major industry conferences, including GDC, SIGGRAPH, and Digital Dragons.
The game’s audio is produced by AriTunes, led by audio director and award-winning composer Ari Pulkkinen (Resogun, Nex Machina, Super Stardust HD). Ari also composes the original soundtrack.
Tech
PETAFAB uses a new custom engine built on NoGraphicsAPI, our low-level GPU interface. The engine replaces traditional graphics shaders with distance-field ray tracing and mesh shaders. It uses an improved version of the Clayfield fluid and matter simulation technology from Claybook (2018), making the entire level 100% destructible.
Designed for ultra-smooth visuals, PETAFAB delivers native 4K @ 240 FPS (and 1440p @ 540Hz) on an RTX 4080, 90 FPS at native resolution on Steam Deck OLED, and 60 FPS on MacBook Neo. Supports 8000Hz input polling (late latch directly to GPU).
