Ardenne's king is dead and the country is in turmoil. The rightful heir to the throne, Prince Yuel, has gone missing, and a usurper has taken the throne.

The new king, Salim, is cold, ruthless, and hungry for power, and he is determined to see the runaway prince executed to consolidate his own rule. Six years have passed since Yuel's disappearance, however, and nobody has seen hide nor hair of him: not even Yuel's older cousin, Tavi.
