About This Game

Raining? Raise the prices.

Friday night? Raise the prices.

People need to get home? You get the idea.

Groober is a satirical Reigns-like about a taxi app's algorithm. You were built

to squeeze out the maximum. Sounds like an easy job. It is not an easy job.

# FOUR FORCES, ALL PULLING DIFFERENT WAYS

The Owners. They need money. Then more money. Then your job.

The Regulator. Wants you switched off. Sometimes with good reason.

The Passengers. They blackmail, they complain, they give birth in the back seat.

The Drivers. Your workforce. Twelve hours behind the wheel and not one reason

to like you.

Every bar lives between two edges. Zero is death. One hundred is also death,

just a different one.

# YOU HAVE NO PRICE DIAL. YOU HAVE A FORMULA

Base: five steps from DUMPING to ROBBERY.

Multipliers: toggles for rain, commission, unpaid waiting, district, loyalty

and the passenger's battery level. Each one makes money and hits its own faction.

Under every active multiplier a red bar grows. That is attention.

When it fills, a scandal arrives, named after that multiplier.

A disabled multiplier cools down.

That is the whole rhythm: turn on the dirty stuff, hit the plan, switch it off

before it blows.

# CITIES, PLANS, ROLLBACKS

Six cities, from a dying factory town to head office. Meet the plan and you go

up. Miss it and you get rolled back, and some of you goes missing.

Between cities there is a weight shop: perks that change not your numbers but

your character.

# WHAT'S INSIDE

・Around 200 cards and fifty characters with arcs that run across the whole game

・Three minigames: the downpour, the payment outage, taking over the wheel

・Five endings, one of them hidden and requiring you to do something algorithms

normally refuse to do

・Six languages: English, Russian, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese,

Korean

・A living log that remembers everything you did

# CONTENT WARNING

Crude and stereotypical humor, strong language, themes of alcohol and drugs.

If that bothers you, it will bother you.

Special thanks for the inspiration: sticky seats, dirty cars, rudeness, padded

fares and ads that do not match reality.

Wishlist it to be the first to hear the release date.
