About This Game

Giantfall is a minimalist medieval kingdom builder / Tower defence real time strategy game. It involves you creating a kingdom and defending it against marauding Giants and Giant creatures. Build, Survive, Fight, Determine what is causing the mutations and destroy it.

Buildings / Towns

Design and build towns and villages to generate food, wealth and above all defence. Grow crops, create lumberyards, stone and iron mines to obtain the resources required to build up your kingdom, attract other settlers and create your armies.

Towers

Build Towers, walls and defences against the enemy, Different towers allow for different capabilities against a multitude of enemies. Starting from simple archer towers, research and develop powerful ballista, catapult and bombard towers. Create a mage school and unlock magic and power magical towers.

Armies

Build armies to fight off attacks in less defended areas or strike at the enemy first.

Research

Research new technologies and skills in order to advance your buildings, defences and armies.

Defence

Build towers and defensive walls to keep back the creatures. Armies to both defend and attack the enemy and traps to capture useful creatures.

Magic / Weapons

From technologies, learn how to develop new weapons, spells and traps. Use these to bait and attack the enemy.

Enemies

Ordinary creatures have mutated, attracted to food and easy prey your kingdom is the target. From carrot loving Giant Rabbits, Seagulls that just want to "drop" on your buildings to powerful creatures and the worst of all mutated humans from this and neighbouring islands looking for some fresh meat to eat and towers to stomp on.

Economy

Maintain an healthy economy in order to keep defence production high. As the enemy smash down walls, towers and buildings be ready to build new better ones in their place. Keep your population happy with food, housing otherwise they may fee elsewhere leaving the kingdom undefended.

Boons

Find magical artifacts that grant powerful boons, these can make the game easier or harder depending on your preference. They allow for powerful troops to make life easier from the beginning or secrets to improving the economy, buildings and your peoples well being.

Survival

Pick you biome, world size and story teller to generate a random map each game. Adjust difficulty and play boons to change and shape each game.

Story Tellers

Pick the story teller for a different game experience. From peaceful town building with the occasional threat, to rampaging monster hoards and even the rise of the undead. Four unique story tellers allow the game to be played how you like it. Story events are determined by each story teller, some simply focussing on survival, others on survival against not only creatures but also barbarian raiders or even the living dead.
