About This Game
Tech Biome
The Tech Biome looks like no other. Stripped of soil and even their natural cores, these planets now run on artificial generators buried beneath layer upon layer of compacted machinery — the discarded remains of drones deemed too worthless to be reprocessed or repurposed. The result is a one-of-a-kind ecosystem still rich with valuable minerals ready to be mined.
But be prepared for the dangers posed by new environmental hazards. Teleporters can send your crew and blocks to distant parts of the mine, while Copy Blocks create duplicates of nearby blocks — including Short Circuits, which can stun your crew and damage them.
At night, the Mechanical Terrabore roams the mine, making after-hours operations just as dangerous as on any other planet. Robots will also swarm in from the mine entrance, intent on destroying your platform and shutting down your drilling operation. Every one of them is equipped with a teleportation device, allowing them to close the distance to your core with alarming speed once their health drops below half. And their leader, the Overseer — the ultimate defender of the Tech Biome — will seize any chance to finish you off.
New Core
In the Tech Biome, you can find fragments of the legendary Monolith Core. Once you collect all three, you’ll be able to install it on your platform. It uses advanced teleportation technology to send away enemies that get too close. Its advanced scanner also reveals all ore in the mine for a short time each morning.
New Buildings
Enjoy new buildings and turrets that were designed through reverse-engineering advanced robotic technology:
Pathfinder Hub. Creates a scout drone that selects a block in the mine hidden by the fog of war, flies to it, and reveals the fog in a radius of several blocks. Changes position every once in a while. Only operates during the day. Each building of this kind works independently.
Overclock Hub. Deploys a drone that speeds up random buildings during the day and random turrets at night. Each building of this kind works independently.
Pyro-Drone Turret. Deploys combat drones that set enemies on fire.
Drain Drone Turret. Deploys combat drones that weaken enemies.
Stasis Drone Turret. Deploys combat drones that stun enemies.
