About This Game
"Welcome commander to your first non simulated mission. You are in control of our mining startup station, which has just reached our licensed territory in this sector. Mission begins now."
Deep Space Outpost is a sci-fi base builder with resource gathering and base management. Create your space station, mine asteroids for resources and make your mission a success.
Begin with a small startup station and a handful of worker droids. Build your own space station tile by tile to achieve your mission. Play an open sandbox mode, or choose one of eight different scenarios and try for a high score. A station builder mode allows you to create blueprints to use in game and share via Steam workshop
Build and expand a space station using your starting worker droids, add new rooms, facilities and production modules.
Mine and collect asteroids for raw ore and refine it into metal, fuel, oxygen and water. Gather drifting scrap and salvage derelict ships to reclaim metal.
Build a production chain, transforming raw resources into refined goods and items to sell or use to support your station.
Manage station power, balance generation, batteries and consumption while surviving solar storms and electrical failures.
Hire human workers from passing traders and keep them alive with life support, crew quarters, food, and entertainment.
Assign and prioritise jobs so workers build, repair, transport goods, or respond to critical threats.
Trade with visiting ships - buy and sell resources, repair and refuel vessels, and charge visitors for access to your facilities.
Construct defence turrets to protect your station from asteroids, scrap impacts, and pirate attacks. Brace for boarding raids from pirate crews.
Repair damage and respond to emergencies including hull breaches, fires and item breakdowns.
Research new schematics to unlock advanced buildings, upgrades and production technologies.
A new procedurally generated space sector each time you play. Replay or share map seeds.
You begin with a handful of worker droids and a small outpost in deep space. As your station develops, you’ll assemble a complete production chain that transforms raw resources into refined goods and advanced items to sell, trade, or use to support your expanding infrastructure. Your workforce grows from simple droids to hired human crews brought in by passing traders. Humans require life support, breathable air, co2 capture, food and comfortable quarters.
Entertainment, tourism, and station amenities - Life support will mean travellers will arrive, and you can open your airlocks and offer them access to entertainment facilities, bars, canteens, casino and other amenities. Visitors will explore your station, spend money on food, drink, and leisure and reward you with steady revenue if you keep them happy.
Research and unlock new technologies - Purchase new schematics to expand your station with advanced modules, improved production methods, and stronger defensive systems. Enhance station security with upgraded hull plating, access controls, shields, and more powerful turrets. Improve your droids with better armament, increased battery capacity, and higher carry limits. Unlock new processing and infrastructure systems, such as the distillery, the laboratory and sewage treatment plant to further develop your station’s capabilities.
