About This Game
A tip-off points you toward the cursed seaside town of Innsmouth — and the sunken labyrinth known as Devil Reef. Treasure lies in its depths. So do things that have never been seen by sane eyes. With your crew of desperate fortune-hunters at your side, you descend. Whether you return, and whether you remain yourself if you do, is a different matter entirely.
Cthulhu’s Reach: Devil Reef is built for 1 to 4 players. The horror is survivable alone. With a crew, it becomes an experience — the moments when a friend’s sanity breaks, when the dungeon shifts, when a run that seemed impossible suddenly clicks. Online co-op with full dungeon scaling ensures that whether you play solo or with three companions, every descent is a fresh reckoning.
Procedurally generated labyrinths mean Devil Reef never plays the same way twice. Each run is shaped by over 100 collectible items across four rarity tiers, a deep weapon unlock and upgrade system, and enemy encounters built around status effects — bleeding, burning, slowed, panicked. Three acts of escalating horror await in the full release, alongside a Daily Challenge mode with a globally seeded dungeon so you can compete against every other delver in the world.
Lose enough sanity and your mind starts fighting back against you. Cross a threshold, and it conjures curses you must face on the next level; enemies grow vicious, rules turn cruel. Pick one. No skipping, no rerolling.
Survive it, and you keep a permanent reward for your trouble. But every curse taken narrows your next choice. Stay sane, and you may only ever face one. Fall all the way into Madness, and there's no choice left at all…
- 1-4 Player Online Co-op — Face the horrors of Devil Reef alone or with up to three companions. Online co-op with dungeon scaling built for any crew size.
- The Sanity System — Incantations are offers from the Great Old Ones, power in exchange for a piece of your mind. Lose enough sanity and your own descent starts writing curses into the run, trials you must survive to earn what's left.
- Lovecraftian 1920s Setting — Innsmouth. Devil Reef. Eldritch creatures, corrupted labyrinths, and a world where the deep ocean holds secrets older than human civilization.
- Roguelite Depth — 100+ collectible items across four rarity tiers, procedurally generated dungeons, weapon unlocks, and an enemy system built around dynamic status effects.
- Daily Challenge Mode — Every day, a new globally seeded dungeon. Compare your run against players worldwide. The reef never rests.
- Atmospheric Action Combat — Twin-stick isometric combat against eldritch horrors. Enemies bleed, burn, slow, and panic. No fight is routine once the sanity curses stack.
- Custom Map Editor — Create your own maps and throw your friends into the abyss
