About This Game

One gladiator. He keeps training while you are gone.

Arena Immortalis is a free gladiator RPG that runs on its own clock. You build a single fighter, put him to work, and close the tab. Training finishes, expeditions come back, the arena ladder shifts. When you return, something has happened.

Sessions are minutes, not evenings. The gladiator is yours for months.

WHAT A DAY LOOKS LIKE

Set a stat training and a mission. Spend your energy on the arena or on a dungeon run. Read what the ludus argued about while you slept. Bank your gold before someone raids the province you hold.

Then leave. It keeps going.

FOUR WAYS TO KILL

Murmillo plants a shield and refuses to move. Retiarius fights at the end of a net, where you cannot reach him. Dimachaerus carries two blades and no defence at all. Bestiarius brings the beast.

Six stats, and each one changes the maths of a fight: Strength for the blow, Dexterity for the crit that ends it, Agility to not be there when it lands, Endurance to survive being wrong, Intelligence to blunt the enemy edge, Charisma to take more gold off the corpse. Respec is free until level 10, so experiment early and commit late.

THE MAN WHO KEEPS BEATING YOU

Lose twice to the same opponent and the game stops treating him as a random name. Your Nemesis gets a record, a taunt and a permanent place on your character sheet, and he stays there until one of you settles it.

The arena underneath is real: live players, real ELO, a ladder that decays if you sit on it. You pick your tactic before the gate opens and you live with it.

GEAR THAT COSTS YOU SOMETHING

Twelve slots, five rarities, a forge that climbs to +10 without destroying your item when it fails.

Then there are the 29 Uniques, and every one of them is a trade. Berserker's Chain hits harder the closer you are to death, but you can never be healed. Tortoise Aegis cuts incoming damage by 40% and takes away your crit and your dodge entirely. Swiftblade grants a guaranteed extra attack every turn and weakens every blow you land.

None of them are upgrades. You pick one and build the whole gladiator around the hole it leaves.

TEN ACTS, ONE NAME ON THE WALL

115 quests from your first bout to the day the marble cracks: a trial you did not ask for, an auction, a doctore with a secret, and choices that lean honourable or ruthless. The world remembers which you picked.

Seven dungeon bosses guard the deep loot, from the Rat King in the sewers to Nero Reborn in his flooded palace.

NO ONE HOLDS A PROVINCE ALONE

Found a ludus or join one. Twenty gladiators, a private chat, a forum for the arguments that matter, and buildings raised from a shared treasury: an infirmary that keeps everyone standing, an armoury that sharpens every blade.

Then take the map. Roman legions hold the provinces and scale to your strength; the legendary ones will not fall to one fighter, only to a whole school pushing together. Hold ground and rival ludi will come for it. Wars are fought by the champions you send, and the loser pays from the vault.

FREE, AND WE MEAN IT

No energy paywall, no stat you can only buy, no gear locked behind a card. Gems buy cosmetics, convenience and time - never power. A player who has never spent a zloty can hold the top of the ladder, and some of them do.

THE SAME GLADIATOR, EVERYWHERE

Arena Immortalis is a live browser game with players on the sand right now. This is the same world, the same account and the same fighter, just without the browser. Train on Steam, check the arena from your phone at work, come home to a finished expedition.

"The sand does not care who your father was."
