About This Game

The Active Matter soundtrack was developed as a collaboration between independent composers, guest artists, and licensed tracks, and currently comprises over one hundred compositions from several dozen artists. Akira Yamaoka was a key contributor to the project, whose contributions seamlessly complemented and diversified the overall sound palette with compositions such as the lyrical and acoustic "I'm Here," the bluesy "Porcelain Heart," and the rock-inspired "Neon Decay."

We deliberately didn't limit the musicians within strict guidelines, resulting in a diverse range of tracks, which reflected in the versatility of the final material. As a result, the Active Matter soundtrack features a wide range of musical genres, from electronica to heavy metal. This approach avoided monotony, gave each composer room to experiment, and diversified the music in Active Matter as a whole. Work on the musical content is not yet complete: we plan to regularly expand the music in Active Matter with new tracks.
