Introducing My Fly, a pilot gaming application for desktop. This innovative program offers an immersive and thrilling experience, designed to equip aspiring pilots with the skills and knowledge needed to conquer the skies. With realistic checklist procedures, self-paced learning, interactive aircraft controls, and real-time feedback, this application takes gamified learning to new heights.

Freeplay Flight:

  • Aircraft can be positioned at multiple areas in the environment including the base of the runway before engine start, 1 mile at the approach position, and the 3 mile landing position. This mode is preset with key bindings to gamify the control inputs.

  • Real-time instrument feedback for attitude indicator, airspeed indicator, altitude, directional gyro, engine RPM, turn coordinator, and vertical speed indicator.

  • Real-time flight control surface feedback and lighting designated to aircraft specifications and limitations.

  • Unlimited aircraft repositions and fuel, no penalty for crashing or depletion of fuel.

Normal Procedures:

  • Aircraft Introduction demonstrates an overview of a fixed wing aircraft indicating important specifications and limitations at a basic level of instruction in a third person perspective. Self guided step navigation provided for repeat student review.

  • Preflight Inspection begins the Normal Procedures of a walk-a-round inspection in a first person perspective with guided visual highlights, instructional narration and text, and real time interactions of simple and visual selections. Self guided step navigation provided for repeat student review.

  • Time On Task Preflight Inspection tests the student in a complex mode of instruction covering the Preflight Inspection that is unguided and timed from a first person perspective.

  • Engine Start, a first person perspective with the aircraft in the post preflight configuration with guided visual highlights, instructional narration and text, and real time interactions of simple and visual selections. 

  • Time On Task Engine Start tests the student in a complex mode of instruction covering the Engine Start that is unguided and timed from a first person perspective.

  • Takeoff procedure begins complex instruction with real time feedback from the aircraft. This procedure provides self guided step navigation at key moments, guided visual highlights, instructional narration and text, and real time interactions of simple and visual selections. 

  • Landing procedure demonstrates complex instruction with real time feedback from the aircraft. This procedure provides self guided step navigation at key moments, guided visual highlights, instructional narration and text, and real time interactions of simple and visual selections. 

Scenarios:

  • Emergency Landing demonstrates the Engine Failure On Takeoff, Engine Failure After Takeoff, Engine Failure In Flight, Forced Landing - Ditching, Landing On A Flat Main Tire, and the Bird Strike procedures.

  • Traffic Hazards demonstrates the Taxi To Takeoff Traffic, Takeoff Traffic, Altitude Deconflict Traffic, and Landing On Approach Traffic procedures.

  • Fire Survival demonstrates the Fire During Start On Ground, Engine Fire In Flight, Cabin Fire, and Wing Fire procedures.

  • Electrical Survival demonstrates the Electrical Fire In Flight, Power Supply High Malfunction, and Power Supply Low Malfunction procedures.

  • Weather Hazards demonstrates the Icing, Crosswind Landing, Thunderstorm Avoidance, and Lightning Strike procedures.

Pilot Record:

  • Ranking system created for certificate updates per scenario completion. Pilot Rating points capture each completion of the course to update the student's overall rating.
