Verfügungstruppenkommando 42

The West German Verfügungstruppenkommando 42 or Reserve Troops Command 42 was built up around Kampftruppeschule 2, the armored training academy at Münster. Bringing together Bundeswehr territorial troops from NORTHAG command, this mixed tank formation can count on an excellent cadre of recon, tanks, and helicopter training units.

Verfügungstruppenkommando 42 will feature new NATO units such as HEIMAT-JÄGER (PzF) squads, FACHLEHRERGRUPPE Instructors, the LEOPARD 2A4(B), DKW MUNGA jeeps, RAD.AUFK.PZ 91-2, a few experimental LEOPARD 2A4(D), LEHRLEOPARD 1A3A1 Instructor tanks, anti-air BO-105 BSH-1, SINGIT-capable UH-1D HES helos, with air support being provided by F-4T, F-4E, and the upgraded ALPHA JET A with new loadouts.

71-ya Zapasnaya Tankovaya Diviziya

The Soviet 71-ya Zapasnaya Tankovaya Diviziya or the 71st Reserve Tank Division, was based in Omsk, Russia, an important military-industrial city deep behind the front lines. The nearby Higher Tank Engineering School and Higher Combined Arms Command School would provide a host of experienced instructors to this reservist-manned armor battlegroup, further boosted by several unique pieces of heavy weapon systems.

The 71-ya Zapasnaya Tankovaya Diviziya contains new units such as

The BTR-50PUM-1 and heavy BTR-55 APCs, INSTRUKTORY infantry squads with Instructor trait, a variety of new REZ., or Reservist units, from infantry to tanks to weapon teams, INSTRUKTORY T-64A, INSTRUKTORY T-72A, and INSTRUKTORY T-72B Obr. 89 Instructor tanks, R-330P PIRAMIDA-1 jammer vehicles, BTS-4A ZU-23-2 and ZIL-135M S-60 SPAAGs, plus the S-125 NEVA towed SAM, and older Su-24 strike aircraft with a variety of payloads.
