Every capture becomes a battle. Your knight may charge a pawn expecting an easy victory—and never return. Every decision carries weight. Strength matters, experience matters, and sometimes the battlefield has other plans.
Chaos Chess takes the familiar rules of chess and builds an RPG strategy game around them, where every match leaves its mark on your army.
Every Battle Forges Your Army
Your pieces are more than disposable units.
Survive battles, gain experience, and turn ordinary soldiers into veterans and heroes. Develop powerful traits, shape your army over time, and create a force with its own history of victories, defeats, and unlikely survivors.
A pawn that should have fallen ten battles ago might become one of your greatest legends. Shape its story and follow its deeds across the battlefield.
Four Custom Campaigns
Chaos Chess features four distinct single-player campaigns, each built around its own mechanics and story.
Lead human forces through a war for the throne. Defend the Dwarven Heartforge as enemies close in. Explore a corrupted wasteland with the Legion in search of a lost totem. Rule the Dark Elves through choices, alliances, and battles where earlier decisions shape what happens later. All four explore chess from a new perspective.
These are not simply strings of chess matches. Each campaign approaches Chaos Chess in a different way.
Eight Armies — So Far
Take command of a growing roster of fantasy armies, each with its own identity, characters, and battlefield style.
Humans, outlaws, dwarves, dark elves, the Legion, and more bring their own personalities to the board, turning every matchup into a clash between very different forces.
Take Chaos Worldwide
Challenge other players online and put your army to the test.
Fight competitive PvP battles, climb the ranks, and discover whether the heroes who carried you through countless victories can survive against another player’s army.
Chess, With Consequences
At its heart, Chaos Chess is still chess.
Positioning matters. Tactics matter. Sacrifices matter.
But when two pieces collide, the result is no longer predetermined.
Every move is a decision.
