Hillshade Farm: First Harvest

Step into a small slice of Hillshade Farm! You’ve just inherited an overgrown farm, bring it back to life, meet the valley and the Community, plant, harvest and sell your first goods at special locations and much, much more!

What’s in this demo

• Guided intro (7 quests): Read Grandpa’s letter, clear land, plant your first crops, unlock perks in the Knowledge Tree, raise chickens, craft various items, build structures and make your first delivery to the diner!

• Farming & harvesting: over 15 crops and 5 trees available in the Demo!

• Animals (first look): Chickens, Cows and Bees! Build a coop, pen or a beehive garden to tend to!

• Pets: Dogs, cats and horses! Your loyal puppy is waiting on the farm, and his cat friend/nemesis!  

• Crafting taste-test: Make thorough recipes and try basic processing for produce. Try out various crafting stations like Workbench, Furnace, Saw-Table, Oven etc.

• Sell your goods: Visit the Sell Stands and the Vista Diner to earn your first coins and meet the locals!

• Light customization: Move furniture, place fences/lights, and make the farmhouse feel like yours.

• Exploration: Drive your pickup and roam the demo area! Hidden views included. ;)

Progression

• Unlock crops in the Knowledge Tree and get access to almost all crops in-game so far! (you will need a lot of XP!)

• Play 7 unique Farm Quests to learn the way of the land. After completion you are free to play on and work on your farm with the available Demo Content.

Save notes (demo only)

• Quests and character are saved.

• Farm state resets between sessions (so you can try different starts each time).

Tech & feedback

• Optimized for smooth play; AMD FSR: 2-3x framerate increase. Available in the Video Settings in game.

• Controller support partial! Have a keyboard and mouse/trackpad nearby!
